After liposuction or gynecomastia surgery, there are many patients who are concered about of feeling hard like a stone under the skin about 2 to 3 weeks later.

This phenomenon causes body fluids to escape from damaged adipose tissue(fat cell), blood vessels, and lymphatics after liposuction. Because of its stickiness, it is called ‘Bio Bond’.

The occurrence of bio-bond is a natural phenomenon that occurs during the body’s recovery process, and you do not have to worry about it as it gradually loosens and becomes softer over time and disappears naturally with a decrease in swelling.

In order to minimize this biobond, we put on a compression garment after surgery.

Dr. Jeon has a favorite saying.
“No Space, No Problem”

Biobond usually disappears after 2-4 months, but if recovery takes a long time, biobond may not disappear for more than 6 months.
In this case, do not be impatient and help blood circulation with massage and light exercise.

In particular, massage is very helpful for the recovery of biobond after liposuction.

Occasionally, postoperative bleeding and Biobond are confused.

Postoperative bleeding usually occurs immediately after surgery or within 1-2 days.

There is no operation without a single drop of blood.

But don’t worry, usually the microscopic bleeding only appears as a light bruise and goes away quickly.

These surgeries and post-recovery procedures are performed by a long-experienced Dr. Jeon.
