Additional Post-Operative Instructions (Evita Clinic)
Thank you for visiting Evita Clinic. Please follow the instructions below for a smooth and safe recovery:
Diet & Lifestyle

Start with soft foods and avoid spicy or strongly flavored meals.

Avoid alcohol and salty foods during the healing process.
-
Smoking, including e-cigarettes and hookahs, must be strictly avoided for at least 2 weeks post-surgery.
Wound & Dressing
-
Some fluid discharge may occur within the first day. If so, replace with sterile gauze without opening the dressing point.

Shower is allowed after 1–2 days with waterproof bandages. Avoid sauna, hot baths, or swimming for 4 weeks.

Waterproof bandages should be worn for 5 days. After removal, keep the wound clean and dry.
Compression Garment & Sponge Pad

Wear the compression garment for 4 weeks:
-
First 2 weeks: 24 hours/day

Following 2 weeks: 12 hours/day

If provided, apply sponge pad around areola for 7 days only.
Recovery & Exercise
-
Daily light activity such as walking is encouraged. Avoid lifting over 40 pounds in the first week.

Resume light massage and stretching after 2 weeks to reduce lumpiness or “Biobond”.

Weightlifting and upper body exercises should only begin after 4 weeks.
What to Expect
-
Temporary swelling, lumpiness, bruising, or asymmetry is common. These symptoms improve over 4 to 6 months.

Hypertrophic scarring may occur; consistent aftercare is key to better scar outcomes.

If you experience any of the following within 3–4 days post-surgery, please contact us immediately:

Persistent or severe pain

High fever

Yellowish discharge from the wound
-
Itching or signs of infection
