Getting to the Clinic

The recovery time is up to your condition, so it is differ person to person, but normally after 3-4 days after the surgery you can go back to your daily routine.
But be careful not to work hard for 1-2 weeks after the operation, as there might be a dehiscence at sutured area.
If you do the incision in the armpit, there might be a discomfort because of tight feeling on your armpit area, but in case of the incision in the breast underline there is no discomfort like that.
Implant placement is chosen individually. The decision depends on the amount of natural breast tissue, skin thickness, chest-muscle anatomy, implant size and shape, activity level, and the desired contour.
Placement partly under the chest muscle can provide additional soft-tissue coverage and may reduce visible edges or rippling in thinner patients. It can involve more early discomfort and may cause the breast shape to move when the chest muscle contracts.
Placement over the muscle can avoid muscle-related movement and may have a shorter early recovery, but it requires adequate tissue coverage and may make implant edges or rippling more noticeable in some patients. There is no single best position for everyone; the surgeon will explain which option fits your anatomy and priorities.
A thin layer of scar tissue normally forms around every breast implant. Capsular contracture occurs when this capsule becomes unusually tight and compresses the implant. The exact cause cannot always be identified.
Factors associated with a higher risk may include bleeding or hematoma, infection or bacterial contamination, fluid collection, implant rupture, prior radiation treatment, implant and pocket characteristics, and an individual tendency to form firm scar tissue.
Careful surgical technique and postoperative follow-up can reduce some risks, but capsular contracture cannot be prevented in every patient. Contact the clinic if a breast becomes progressively hard, painful, higher in position, or visibly different.
Our experience, Only 3~5% of patient experience the capsular contracture.
It is not common, but in that case we might suggest to take medicine or do an additional operation to remove it.
Breast massage is not required after every type of breast augmentation. Whether it is recommended depends on the implant, surgical technique, pocket position, tissue condition, and the surgeon’s postoperative plan.
Do not begin forceful massage or implant displacement exercises unless your surgeon has specifically instructed you to do so. Starting too early or using the wrong technique may increase pain or interfere with healing.
If massage is recommended, the clinic will show you when to start, how much pressure to use, how often to perform it, and when to stop. Follow the individual instructions given at your postoperative visits.
Comparing Textured and Smooth type, Smooth type feels more soft and it is commonly used these days.
These days, consumption of smooth type is increasing.
Beforetime textured type commonly used because we believed that it causes less capsular contracture than smooth one, but based on the clinical test result the possibility of capsular contracture is almost same.
Breast surgery scars do not disappear completely, but they usually become softer, flatter, and less noticeable as they mature. Scar color and thickness can continue to change for 12 months or longer.
The final appearance depends on the incision location, skin type, wound tension, sun exposure, smoking, infection, and individual healing tendency. Follow the clinic’s wound-care instructions, protect healing scars from sunlight, and use silicone or other scar treatments only as advised.
Contact the clinic if a scar becomes increasingly red, raised, painful, itchy, or wide so it can be assessed early.
The length of an axillary (armpit) incision is not identical for every patient. It depends on the implant type and size, the instruments used, and the patient’s anatomy. The surgeon aims to use an incision that is long enough for controlled, safe implant placement while keeping it within a natural armpit crease when possible.
The planned incision location and approximate length will be explained before surgery. All surgical incisions leave a permanent scar, although the scar usually softens and fades as it matures.
Breast implants may be felt through the skin in some patients. How noticeable they are depends on the amount of natural tissue covering the implant, skin thickness, implant size and type, implant position, and changes that occur with weight loss or aging.
Implant edges and rippling are more likely to be palpable in patients with thin tissue coverage or when an implant is large for the available breast base. Careful implant selection and pocket placement can reduce this possibility, but they cannot guarantee that an implant will never be felt.
A new hard area, change in shape, pain, swelling, or increasing asymmetry should be assessed by the surgeon.
Yes you can.
But in this case, average rate of experiencing capsular contracture is almost 10-15%, so we do not suggest actually.
A thin capsule of scar tissue normally forms around every breast implant. Capsular contracture occurs when that capsule tightens more than expected and compresses the implant.
Possible signs include increasing firmness, a breast that sits higher or looks more rounded, a change in shape or symmetry, discomfort, or pain. The severity varies, and not everyone with breast implants develops capsular contracture.
Contact your surgeon if a breast becomes progressively hard, painful, or visibly different. Evaluation may include an examination and imaging when appropriate. Treatment depends on the severity and may range from observation to surgery involving the capsule and implant.
Normally it is not exactly extablished, but usually every 10 years we inform you to have an examination.
Yes. Routine X-rays can generally be performed with breast implants, and the implants may be visible on some images.
For mammography, tell the imaging center when booking and remind the technologist on the day of the examination. A center experienced in imaging patients with implants can use additional views to show as much breast tissue as possible.
Mammography is used for breast-cancer screening but is not the preferred test for detecting a silent silicone implant rupture. Ultrasound or MRI may be recommended depending on the implant type, symptoms, and follow-up schedule. Follow the screening plan advised by your breast specialist or surgeon.
Many patients can breastfeed after breast augmentation, but surgery can affect milk production in some people. The effect depends on the incision location, implant placement, the condition of the milk ducts and nerves, and the amount of functioning breast tissue present before surgery.
Breast implants do not automatically prevent breastfeeding, but no surgeon can guarantee a full milk supply. If future breastfeeding is important to you, discuss it before surgery so the operative plan can take this into account.
After childbirth, tell your obstetric and pediatric care teams about the prior breast surgery. The baby’s weight gain should be monitored, and a lactation specialist can help if milk supply is limited.
As there will be more voulme, it can be corrected little bit but not noticeable.
It is up to the implant type, normally it’s around 4.4-5.5 million won.

Yes. Breast implants are not lifetime devices, and either saline or silicone implants can rupture.
A saline implant usually becomes visibly smaller as the saline is absorbed by the body. A silicone implant rupture may cause a change in shape, firmness, pain, swelling, lumps, or altered sensation, but it can also be “silent” with no obvious symptoms.
If rupture is suspected, contact your surgeon for an examination. Ultrasound or MRI may be recommended for silicone implants. Treatment depends on the findings and may include removal or replacement of the implant. New swelling, a significant shape change, persistent pain, or a new lump should be assessed promptly.
If you get implants, exact amount of volume will be inserted and it will last as it is.
In case of fat grafting, it is your own so there are less burden as it is not a foreign substance.
However, Fat Grafting is difficult to predict, require repetitive procedures, and worry about calcification.
Therefore, we do not recommend breast fat grafting in our hospitals.
Breast surgery can often improve visible asymmetry, but perfectly identical breasts cannot be guaranteed. Natural differences in the chest wall, breast base, nipple position, skin quality, and soft-tissue volume may remain after surgery.
Depending on the examination, the plan may use different implant sizes or positions on each side, fat grafting, a breast lift, reduction, or a combination of techniques. In some cases, staged treatment is safer or gives better control of the result.
During consultation, the surgeon will identify which differences are likely to improve, which may remain, and what trade-offs are involved, including scars and the possibility of revision.
Normally, we suggest to have an examination on the operation area every 10 years.
It is recommended to do general breast cancer screening every year.
There is no such result of breast operation causes breast cancer.
But on rare occasion, there is a report about the relation with rare lymphoma.
<FDA Report>
In 2011, the FDA identified a possible association between breast implants and the development of anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL), a rare type of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. At that time, the Agency was aware of approximately 60 cases of ALCL in women with breast implants, out of approximately 5-10 million women who had received breast implants worldwide. This included 34 unique cases that were described in the medical literature from January 1, 1997 through May 21, 2010, and additional cases identified by international regulatory agencies, scientific experts and breast implant manufacturers. Based on this data, the FDA cautioned patients and health care providers that women with breast implants might have a very low but increased risk of developing ALCL.
The FDA also posted on this website a detailed analysis of the 34 cases of ALCL in women with breast implants, provided physicians with interim recommendations on identifying and confirming ALCL, and worked with breast implant manufacturers to include information regarding ALCL in the patient and physician labeling.
Because the FDA knew of so few cases of this disease, it was impossible to determine what factors increased the risk. In a report summarizing the Agency’s findings, we emphasized the need to gather additional information to better characterize ALCL in women with breast implants.

Yes, a tummy tuck leaves a scar, but it is placed low on the abdomen so it can be hidden under underwear or swimwear. There can be a variety of cases.
In the case of insufficient Liposuction, your cost and recovery course are same.

Most patients can walk the day after surgery and return to light daily activities within 1–2 weeks. Sutures are usually removed about 2 weeks after surgery, and strenuous exercise should be avoided for at least 1 month. Full recovery, including swelling reduction, typically takes about 6–8 weeks. Grade 3 and Grade 4 Gynecomastia is characterized by sagging of the male breast.
To resolve the skin sagginess, Mastopexy is performed.
At Evita Clinic we perform two types of Mastopexy according to the kind of Incision – Areolar type and Anchor type.

Immediately after surgery, it is wrapped with a bandage and compression garments. After 1 days, we check the wound & dressing. Compression garments is worn for 2-3 months but it is possible to shower after 2-3 days.
Liposuction does not directly affect hormones or menstrual cycles; however, due to the removal of fat tissue—which produces estrogen—and the physical stress of surgery along with medications used, some women may experience temporary changes such as earlier or irregular periods. These hormonal fluctuations are typically short-term, and menstrual cycles usually return to normal within a few months. There are generally no long-term effects on reproductive health or hormone function from liposuction itself. Monitoring and maintaining a healthy lifestyle during recovery can help support hormonal balance.
It is usually possible to live everyday after 2~3 days, but it is recommended to avoid severe exercise for 2 weeks. During the first week after surgery, you may see more swelling than before surgery. After one week, the swelling starts to fall off. However, the appearance of swelling can be finally disappered after 3~4 months.
While some patients may experience significant discomfort and pain after muscle plication, this occurs in only a small minority of cases based on clinical experience and literature. Typically, severe pain is most intense on the day of surgery and for up to 48 hours afterward. Early mobilization is encouraged, and the majority of patients are able to ambulate and perform light activities starting the day after surgery. Follow-up visits are arranged to monitor recovery progress, and most patients tolerate the postoperative course well without prolonged impairment. Pain management protocols including analgesics help control discomfort, enabling patients to regain mobility safely and comfortably within days. Complete functional recovery, including comfortable upright walking, usually occurs within one to two weeks, but individual variation exists depending on surgical technique and patient factors.
Liposuction is a rare complication.
Bruising after surgery lasts 2-3 weeks and sometimes the surface looks uneven, which will be okay after 4 weeks.
Pulmonary embolism (serious complications of small fat cells entering the blood vessels and blocking the pulmonary vasculature) occurs in about 1 in 1 million people, which usually occurs when the principles of surgery are not followed properly.
Also, the probability is less than the probability of dying from a traffic accident. This complication is usually caused by excessive surgery or greed about the dramatic surgery result.
Do not worry if you keep the principle and do not take excessive liposuction.
When a stomach or hip is heavy due to fat, it can be improved by reducing the weight by liposuction.
After liposuction, special compression garment will be worn for 2-3 months.
This pressure has the effect of not allowing the tissue to protrude due to the tight contraction of the tissue.
Following abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), patients are commonly managed initially with patient-controlled analgesia (PCA), which provides continuous intravenous delivery of pain medication for optimal control during the immediate postoperative period. This PCA is typically discontinued within 24 to 48 hours. Subsequently, pain and discomfort are effectively managed with standard oral analgesics as patients progress in their recovery. Multimodal pain management strategies, including local anesthetic blocks and non-opioid medications, may be utilized as alternatives or adjuncts to reduce opioid consumption and enhance patient comfort. With appropriate pain control protocols, recovery is generally well-tolerated, allowing patients to resume daily activities progressively without undue discomfort.
You are wondering when to remove stitches after you have undergone surgery.
In the case of liposuction, the incision range is small and may vary depending on the condition, but it will be removed within about two weeks.
In the meantime, you will come to the hospital to disinfect. It is about 1 cm and it takes about 3 weeks for skin regeneration..
Liposuction incisions are small, but healing time varies by location, skin condition, tension, and individual recovery. The surface usually closes during the early postoperative period, while deeper tissue healing and scar maturation continue for several months.
Keep dressings clean and dry, and do not soak the incisions or apply unapproved products until the clinic confirms that it is safe. Do not remove sutures yourself.
Contact the clinic for increasing redness, warmth, swelling, worsening pain, persistent bleeding, pus-like drainage, an opening incision, or fever. The final scar usually softens and fades gradually but does not disappear completely.
It is inconvenient because you can not wash after surgery.
A simple shower is available after 3 to 4 days after surgery.
Before taking a shower, you can apply waterproof bandage to wound area.
Also, after take a shower, simply disinfect and apply ointment.
In case of sauna, enough time should be needed.
If you use the sauna immediately after removing the stitchs, the suture part may be re-opened.
It is usually advisable to remove the stitches after 2 to 3 weeks.
If the incision is wide, it is best to spend about a month. You can also wipe or wash un-operated areas.
Bruising usually becomes most noticeable during the early recovery period and then fades gradually. Swelling often lasts longer than bruising and may fluctuate with activity, heat, and the amount of treatment performed.
Many patients see steady improvement over the first several weeks, but residual firmness or swelling can take several months to settle completely. Recovery differs by treatment area and patient, so a fixed date cannot be guaranteed.
Wear compression as directed and attend follow-up visits. Contact the clinic if swelling suddenly increases, affects only one side, or is accompanied by worsening pain, redness, fever, calf pain, chest pain, or shortness of breath.
Early swelling, bruising, firmness, soreness, and temporary unevenness are common after gynecomastia surgery. The chest may look flatter immediately, but the final contour cannot be judged until swelling settles and the tissues soften.
Wear the compression garment and care for the incisions as instructed. Gentle walking is encouraged, while heavy lifting, chest exercise, and strenuous activity should wait until Dr. Jeon clears you. Recovery time varies with the amount of liposuction, gland removal, and any skin removal performed.
Attend scheduled follow-up visits. Contact the clinic for increasing redness or swelling, fever, unusual drainage, worsening pain, or a sudden one-sided change. Seek urgent care for chest pain or shortness of breath.

After the procedure, we wrap your legs with an elastic bandage to provide necessary pressure. While daily activities can be resumed immediately, it is recommended to avoid strenuous exercise for about one week. Additionally, patients can take a shower starting from the next day.

However, for asymptomatic spider veins, Dr. Francis Jeon at Evita Clinic personally examines and assesses patients through visual inspection and palpation, often determining that an ultrasound is unnecessary.
Korean National Health Insurance coverage for sclerotherapy depends on the diagnosis, symptoms, ultrasound findings, treatment purpose, and current NHIS criteria. Treatment performed only for cosmetic spider veins is generally not covered.
Coverage cannot be confirmed from photographs or vein size alone. A clinical examination and, when indicated, duplex ultrasound are needed to determine whether the condition and proposed treatment may qualify.

In principle, it is not recommended to remove cosmetic purpose because all veins play important functions in their own bio metrics. In addition, you can not receive Korean National Health Insurance benefits in this case.
