ID is Required When You Visit Evita Clinic – Starting May 20, 2024

New Identity Verification Policy
Starting May 20, 2024, all patients in South Korea will be required to show a valid ID when visiting hospitals, clinics, or pharmacies.

This is part of a new national policy to prevent:

Health insurance fraud

Misuse of someone else’s insurance card

Prescription abuse under false identity

What Kind of ID is Accepted?

You must bring a government-issued ID that includes:

Your photo

Your identification number

Examples of accepted IDs:

Passport

Alien Registration Card (ARC)

National ID card

Korean driver’s license

Health insurance card

Mobile driver’s license (app)

Digital certificates (공동인증서, PASS, etc.)

How Often Do I Need to Show My ID?

ID check is only required at your first visit.

It is valid for 6 months. You don’t need to show it again unless the period expires.

Please Note

If you don’t bring a valid ID, you may not be able to receive health insurance benefits or prescriptions.
Always carry your ID when visiting Evita Clinic or any other medical facility in Korea.
