Answer first

Which breast surgery is right for you?

The right procedure depends on whether the main concern is insufficient volume, sagging skin, excessive breast weight, an existing implant, or a combination of these issues.

Breast volume, nipple position, skin elasticity, chest width, asymmetry, previous scars, medical history, and the desired change are evaluated together. Online photo review can provide a preliminary direction, but the final operation is confirmed only after an in-person examination.

Volume, lifting, and reduction are different goals

Augmentation adds volume. Mastopexy raises and reshapes sagging tissue. Reduction decreases breast size and weight. Implant revision addresses an existing device and the surrounding breast tissue.

Procedure options

Compare breast surgery options

Each operation corrects a different anatomical problem. Choosing by the desired cup size alone can overlook skin laxity, breast position, or tissue limitations.

Breast augmentation with a silicone implant at Evita Clinic

Breast Augmentation

Best suited for: Small breasts or loss of volume without major skin sagging

Adds or restores volume using Mentor® silicone implants. Size and profile are selected according to chest width, tissue coverage, skin elasticity, and the desired result.

Breast lift mastopexy for sagging breast tissue

Breast Lift

Best suited for: Sagging breasts with adequate or reduced volume

Removes excess skin, reshapes the breast, and repositions the nipple–areola complex. Greater lifting requires a longer incision and a larger wound.

Breast reduction for large heavy breasts

Breast Reduction

Best suited for: Large, heavy breasts and related physical discomfort

Reduces an individualized combination of glandular tissue, fat, and skin. It also reshapes and lifts the remaining breast tissue.

Treatment guide

Match the main concern to the likely option

This guide is for orientation and does not replace an examination.

Small or underdeveloped breasts

Implant augmentation

Provides a predictable increase in volume. The safe range is limited by chest anatomy, tissue thickness, and skin readiness.

Volume loss without major sagging

Implant augmentation

Restores upper-pole and overall breast volume. Implant size and profile are selected according to the available tissue coverage and chest proportions.

Sagging with adequate volume

Breast lift

A lift changes position and shape rather than primarily adding volume. Incision length must match the amount of skin removal required.

Large, heavy breasts

Breast reduction

Reduction may remove gland, fat, and skin while lifting the remaining breast. Recovery depends on the excision pattern and wound length.

Sagging with volume loss

Lift with augmentation

A combined or staged approach may be appropriate. Tissue condition and the planned implant size determine which is safer and more predictable.

Existing breast implants

Removal, exchange, or lift

The implant, capsule, remaining tissue, and skin condition determine whether removal alone, exchange, or an additional lift is needed.

Cosmetic breast surgery fees include 10% VAT, consultation, anesthesia, surgery, and routine postoperative care at Evita Clinic. Implant surgery fees include the postoperative compression bra. Prescription medicines, required tests, pathology when indicated, and optional additional procedures may be charged separately. The final plan and fee are confirmed after medical evaluation.

Implants, lifting & scars

More volume does not necessarily correct sagging

An implant fills the breast but does not remove stretched skin. A larger implant should not be used simply to avoid a lift when the skin and nipple position require skin removal.

Every breast lift and reduction involves a trade-off: a limited incision produces limited lifting, while greater correction requires a longer scar. The incision is chosen according to the degree and distribution of sagging—not by scar preference alone.

Your surgical journey

Breast surgery at Evita Clinic

International planning begins remotely, but the final procedure is decided after physical examination.

1

Online consultation

Send clear front and side photos, age, sex, height, weight, medical history, previous breast surgery, medications, smoking status, goals, and travel dates. Dr. Jeon provides a preliminary assessment.

2

In-person assessment

Breast volume, nipple position, skin elasticity, chest width, asymmetry, scars, and tissue thickness are examined. The incision, implant, limitations, risks, fee, and stay are finalized.

3

Surgery & recovery

Dr. Jeon performs the operation using tumescent local anesthesia with monitored intravenous twilight sedation. Patients recover under observation and leave the clinic after meeting discharge criteria.

4

Follow-up & travel

Follow-up may include dressings, wound checks, compression-bra review, suture or drain care, activity guidance, and travel clearance. Remote follow-up continues after departure.

One major surgical patient per day: Large combinations are divided into separate operations when the expected operating time or recovery burden becomes excessive.

Recovery

Recovery depends on the operation and incision

Swelling, bruising, tightness, altered sensation, and temporary asymmetry are common early in recovery. Implant-only surgery generally recovers faster than a lift or reduction with longer skin incisions.

  • Gentle walking starts early as instructed
  • Upper-body strain and heavy exercise are restricted
  • Wound and scar care are adjusted to the incision
  • International travel remains flexible until medical clearance
  • Final shape takes months to settle

FAQ

Breast surgery questions

What is the difference between breast augmentation, breast lift, and breast reduction?

Breast augmentation adds volume, a breast lift raises and reshapes sagging breasts, and breast reduction removes breast tissue, fat, and skin to reduce size and weight. Some patients need a combination or staged plan.

Can breast implants correct sagging breasts?

Implants can restore volume but do not reliably remove loose skin or raise a low nipple position. When sagging is significant, a breast lift may be needed with augmentation or as a separate stage.

Which breast implant brand does Evita Clinic use?

Evita Clinic exclusively uses Mentor® silicone breast implants. The implant type, profile, and size are selected according to chest width, existing tissue, skin condition, and the patient’s goals.

How is breast implant size selected?

The desired volume is considered together with chest width, breast-base dimensions, tissue thickness, skin elasticity, asymmetry, and the amount of coverage available over the implant. The final size must be both anatomically feasible and consistent with the patient’s priorities.

Can I breastfeed after breast surgery?

Many patients can breastfeed after breast augmentation, especially when the incision avoids the gland. Breast lift and reduction may affect milk production more because breast tissue and ducts can be rearranged or removed. Future breastfeeding cannot be guaranteed after any breast operation.

Is breast surgery performed under general anesthesia?

No. Evita Clinic uses tumescent local anesthesia combined with monitored intravenous twilight sedation. ECG, oxygen saturation, and blood pressure are monitored during surgery and recovery.

Do I need to stay overnight in a hospital?

Routine overnight hospital admission is not required. Patients remain in the clinic’s recovery area and are discharged only after they are awake, medically stable, and meet the discharge criteria. A responsible adult and nearby accommodation may be recommended.

How long should international patients stay in Korea?

The required stay depends on the procedure. Breast augmentation generally requires at least 7 days, with 10 days recommended. Breast lift and breast reduction require longer according to the incision and healing needs. Use the current minimum and recommended periods shown in the live fee table.

Can breast lift and augmentation be performed together?

They can sometimes be combined, but not every patient is best treated in one operation. Tissue condition, implant size, skin tension, blood supply, and expected operating time determine whether a one-stage or staged approach is safer and more predictable.

What should I send for an online assessment?

Send clear standing front and side photos from the neck to the upper abdomen, together with your name, age, sex, height, weight, previous breast surgery, medical conditions, medications, allergies, smoking status, treatment goals, and preferred travel dates.
