Body Contouring Surgery in Seoul, Korea

Personalized planning for localized fat, loose skin, and abdominal muscle separation

What Is Body Contouring?

Body contouring surgery reshapes areas affected by localized fat, loose skin, or separated abdominal muscles. At Evita Clinic in Seoul, treatment options include liposuction, tummy tuck, arm lift, thigh lift, and individually planned combined or staged procedures.

Liposuction primarily removes localized fat, while body lift procedures remove excess skin. A tummy tuck may also repair separated abdominal muscles. The appropriate procedure depends on fat distribution, skin elasticity, muscle condition, medical history, and the patient’s goals.

Liposuction

Fat Reduction & Body Sculpting

Liposuction at Evita Clinic focuses on improving body proportions through the precise removal of localized subcutaneous fat. Rather than treating each area in isolation, Dr. Jeon evaluates how the abdomen, waist, flanks, arms, thighs, and surrounding areas connect to create the overall body contour.

The surgical plan is individualized according to fat distribution, skin elasticity, tissue characteristics, previous surgical history, and the patient’s desired outcome. The goal is not simply to remove as much fat as possible, but to create a balanced and natural transition between treated and untreated areas.

Liposuction can effectively improve contour caused by localized fat deposits. However, it cannot reliably correct moderate or significant skin laxity. When loose or hanging skin is the primary concern, a skin-removal procedure such as a tummy tuck, arm lift, or thigh lift may be more appropriate.

The degree of improvement, swelling, scarring, recovery time, and final outcome may vary between individuals.

Why Choose Evamatic® N.I.L. at Evita Clinic:

Liposuction at Evita Clinic focuses on sculpting and refining the body through the precise removal of localized subcutaneous fat. For selected procedures, we use the Evamatic® system by Euromi, which is based on proprietary N.I.L.® (Nutational Infrasonic Liposculpture) technology.

The Evamatic® system uses mechanically assisted cannula movement to support controlled fat removal without generating heat from the N.I.L.® mechanism. The choice of equipment, cannula, and surgical technique is individualized according to the treatment area, fat distribution, tissue characteristics, skin elasticity, and overall surgical plan.

Liposuction can improve body proportions and contour by reducing localized fat deposits. However, it cannot reliably correct moderate or significant skin laxity. When loose or hanging skin is the primary concern, a skin-removal procedure such as a tummy tuck, arm lift, or thigh lift may be more appropriate.

As with all surgical procedures, the degree of improvement, swelling, scarring, recovery time, and final outcome may vary between individuals.

  • Controlled fat removal and contouring
  • No heat generation from the N.I.L.® mechanism
  • Small access incisions

  • Procedure selected according to anatomy

  • Individually planned anesthesia and recovery care

Tummy liposuction – Evita Clinic

Tummy Liposuction

Targets subcutaneous fat around the abdomen and flanks. Often combined with the 360-degree technique for a slimmer, more defined waistline. For patients with muscle separation or significant skin laxity, a tummy tuck may be recommended in addition to liposuction.

Arm liposuction – Evita Clinic

Arm Liposuction

Removes excess fat from the upper arms to improve contour and definition. Best suited for patients with good skin elasticity. When skin laxity is present, arm liposuction may be combined with or replaced by brachioplasty.

Thigh liposuction – Evita Clinic

Thigh Liposuction

Thigh liposuction may improve lower-body proportion by reducing selected subcutaneous fat deposits on the inner and outer thighs. The degree of improvement depends on fat distribution, skin elasticity, and overall anatomy.

Face and neck liposuction – Evita Clinic

Face & Neck Liposuction

Face and neck liposuction may improve definition around the lower face, jawline, and neck in appropriately selected patients. The degree of change depends on fat distribution, skin elasticity, and underlying anatomy.

Body Lift Surgery

Surgical Skin Removal and Tightening

At Evita Clinic, the term “body lift procedures” is used broadly for surgical skin-removal procedures such as tummy tuck, arm lift, and thigh lift. These procedures are individually selected according to the area and degree of skin laxity.
Significant weight loss, pregnancy, and aging can result in loose, sagging skin that does not respond to diet or exercise. Once skin has been excessively stretched, it rarely returns to its original elasticity. Dr. Jeon's surgical background informs careful tissue handling and attention to vascular anatomy during body contouring procedures. Individual outcomes and recovery vary according to the procedure and each patient’s health and healing response.

Tummy tuck abdominoplasty – Evita Clinic

Tummy Tuck

Abdominoplasty

A tummy tuck removes excess abdominal skin and tightens weakened abdominal muscles to restore a flatter, firmer contour. It is the appropriate solution when skin laxity and muscle separation (diastasis recti) cannot be corrected by liposuction alone.

A Mini Tummy Tuck may be considered when skin laxity is limited mainly to the lower abdomen. It does not usually require repositioning of the belly button, but the scar length and recovery still depend on the amount of skin removed.

  • Removes excess skin and fat from the abdomen
  • Repairs abdominal muscle separation when clinically indicated
  • Creates a flatter, firmer abdominal profile
  • Can be combined with liposuction for enhanced contouring

Arm lift brachioplasty – Evita Clinic

Arm Lift

Brachioplasty

Brachioplasty removes loose skin from the upper arm. Because the upper arm is a highly visible area, scar placement is one of the most critical aspects of the procedure.

Dr. Jeon classifies brachioplasty into axillary, mini, standard, and extended techniques according to the location and extent of skin laxity. A shorter incision can correct only a limited area, while more extensive sagging requires a longer scar.

  • Removes loose, sagging skin from the upper arm
  • Axillary / Mini / Standard / Extended classification according to the location and extent of skin laxity
  • Scar placement designed to minimize visibility
  • Can be combined with arm liposuction

Thigh lift surgery – Evita Clinic

Thigh Lift

Thighplasty

A thigh lift addresses sagging skin on the inner or outer thigh. Incision placement and extent of skin removal are individually planned based on anatomy, lifestyle, and recovery considerations.

Scar placement is designed to remain as concealed as possible within natural skin folds and clothing lines. In cases where fat deposits are also present, thigh lift may be combined with liposuction for optimal contour improvement.

  • Removes loose, sagging skin from the inner or outer thigh
  • Incision and scar placement tailored to each patient
  • Can be combined with thigh liposuction
  • Improves leg contour and daily comfort

Mommy Makeover – combined body contouring after pregnancy

Mommy Makeover

Pregnancy and breastfeeding may affect the abdomen, breasts, waist, and overall body contour.
A Mommy Makeover is an individualized plan that may include tummy tuck, breast lift, breast augmentation, breast reduction, or targeted liposuction.
At Evita Clinic, abdominal surgery and breast surgery are performed on separate days rather than during one prolonged operation. The second stage proceeds only after Dr. Jeon reassesses the patient’s recovery and medical condition.

DR. JEON'S PHILOSOPHY

Localized Liposuction Should Preserve the Body's Natural Flow

“Body contouring is not the art of removing fat.
It is the art of preserving flow.”

The human body is defined by continuous curves rather than isolated parts. Every contour naturally transitions into the next. When only one small area is treated without considering the surrounding anatomy, those transitions can be interrupted. Although the treated area may appear smaller, the overall silhouette often becomes less harmonious.

For this reason, Dr. Jeon approaches body contouring as an integrated design rather than a collection of independent procedures. Whether treating the abdomen, arms, or thighs, the objective is always to preserve smooth anatomical continuity and achieve a balanced result.

When Localized Liposuction Is Appropriate

There are a few situations where a limited, single-area procedure is both reasonable and medically appropriate.

  • Touch-up of an area previously treated at Evita Clinic
  • Revision surgery after liposuction performed elsewhere
  • Correction of contour irregularities or localized asymmetry

In these situations, the goal is not to redesign the body contour, but to restore balance and improve an existing result.

Fixed Fee for Selected Single-Area Corrections

KRW 1,650,000 per area
Even for a small corrective procedure, the same surgical planning, precision, and attention to detail are applied. Every contour must blend naturally with the surrounding body to achieve a harmonious result.

Safety and Possible Risks

Body contouring surgery may involve risks such as bleeding, hematoma, seroma, infection, asymmetry, contour irregularities, visible scarring, changes in skin sensation, delayed wound healing, skin or fat necrosis, blood clots, anesthesia-related complications, and the possibility of revision surgery. Risk varies according to the procedure, treatment extent, medical history, smoking status, and individual healing response.

Combining multiple procedures may increase operative time and recovery demands. Abdominal and breast surgery are performed on separate days, and other extensive combinations may also be staged after an individual medical evaluation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Body contouring is a category of surgical procedures designed to reshape the body's silhouette by removing excess fat, tightening loose skin, or repairing weakened muscles. Common procedures include liposuction, tummy tuck, arm lift, and thigh lift. At Evita Clinic, all body contouring procedures are performed by Dr. Francis Jeon, a board-certified thoracic and cardiovascular surgeon.

Liposuction removes excess fat from targeted areas. A body lift removes loose, sagging skin. These address different problems: liposuction works best when skin elasticity is good; a body lift is appropriate when skin has been excessively stretched by weight loss, pregnancy, or aging and will not retract on its own. Many patients benefit from both, performed together or in stages.

The key factor is skin elasticity. If your skin is firm and elastic, liposuction alone may be sufficient to reshape the abdomen. If you have loose, sagging skin — or if your abdominal muscles have separated (diastasis recti) — a tummy tuck is more appropriate. A physical consultation is necessary to determine the right approach for your anatomy.

Liposuction removes localized fat but does not reliably correct significant loose skin. Patients with mild laxity may be considered for an adjunctive skin-treatment procedure or limited skin excision. Moderate or severe skin excess generally requires surgical skin removal. A physical examination is needed to determine the appropriate option.

At Evita Clinic, body contouring surgery is performed using tumescent local anesthesia combined with monitored intravenous sedation. General anesthesia is not used. The depth of sedation, medication plan, and intraoperative monitoring are individualized according to the procedure, treatment extent, and patient’s medical condition.

Abdominal liposuction and a tummy tuck may be performed together when both localized fat and loose abdominal skin require treatment. Abdominal surgery and breast surgery, however, are performed on separate days. Other extensive combinations may also be staged according to medical history, expected operating time, treatment extent, and recovery requirements.

Light walking is encouraged from the day of surgery or the following day. Return to work, unrestricted daily activity, exercise, and international travel vary substantially according to the procedure, treatment extent, and individual recovery.
When prescribed after liposuction or body lift surgery, compression is generally continued for at least 8 weeks. Daily wear time and total duration may be adjusted according to swelling, wound healing, and garment fit.
Evita Clinic provides detailed pre-operative planning remotely. You can submit photos and medical history for an initial assessment before committing to travel. Safety protocols, realistic recovery timelines, and procedure sequencing are discussed in advance so you can plan your trip with full confidence. All body contouring procedures at Evita Clinic are performed by Dr. Francis Jeon, a board-certified thoracic and cardiovascular surgeon who founded the clinic in 2009. His background in cardiovascular procedures informs his approach to body contouring, with particular attention to vascular integrity, tissue handling, and long-term structural stability.
